FOR_STRUCT Installation
Instructions For Windows
The FOR_STRUCT download package is
provided as a Zip file for Windows. (Specifically it was zipped using WinZip v6.0a, which
can be obtained from numerous places on the web, such as WinZip's home page).
If you already have a CBLUE subdirectory (from a
previous installation), then skip to step 4 below.
1) Create a CBLUE subdirectory (on
a local Windows hard drive) to hold the contents of the FOR_STRUCT package (and any other
COBALT BLUE products that you might license or evaluate).
From Windows:
(or create a new folder using Windows Explorer).
Copy or download the zip file to that directory.
Note: The above locations
are typical, but are not required. You are free to choose your own location.
2) Add the CBLUE subdirectory to your search path (in autoexec.bat), so the executable may be located from any working
directory.
3) Add the environmental variable
"cblue" (in autoexec.bat) to define the location of
the FOR_STRUCT software and associated files.
Reboot your machine.
4) Extract contents of the FOR_STRUCT package to the CBLUE
subdirectory using WinZip.
Read the "readme.fs" and
"setupfs.txt" for more information about the package and running the software.
FOR_STRUCT is a console application that runs from the DOS window. It can be run using the DEMO option, (which limits you to one function per file
and 75 lines).
For example,
fstruct -demo f77file.for
The resultant file will be named
f77file.f (or "f77file.fs" if the input filename was ff77file.f)>
